The Milan Women's Bookstore Collective, Sexual Difference. A theory of social-symbolic practice, Indiana University Press, 1990

The Milan Women's Bookstore Collective was founded at the begginning of the seventies. It is comprised of about fifty women of diverse ages and professions: students, teachers, professionals, artsits, and others, between the ages of twenty-two and twenty-six. The group takes its name from a bookstore opened in 1975 in the center of Milan. It was especially known for their texts in political theory, one of which is Più donne che uomini (More Women than Men) (1983), translated and published in French, German, Spanish and English.
